NEW BREMEN — St. Patrick’s Day will be arriving in New Bremen a few days early, when Lock One Community Arts brings the traditional Irish band, Danu’, to the James F. Dicke Auditorium in New Bremen High School with a performance including Irish music ranging from ancient to new, humor as only the true Irish can deliver it, and dancing-in-the-seats-inducing rhythms.

The concert will be March 12 at 3 p.m. Tickets cost $30 for adults, $10 for students, and are available at Western Ohio Hardware in Minster, by phone at 567-356-2048 and at the door.

Hailing from Ireland’s County Waterford, Danu’ (pronounced “dah noo”) is one of the leading traditional Irish ensembles today. Their standing-room-only concerts throughout Ireland are true events featuring high-energy performances and a glorious mix of Irish music.

For two decades, Danu’s members have delivered wonderful performances on flute, tin whistle, fiddle, button accordion, bouzouki and vocals in Irish and English. The band has performed around the world and has recorded seven critically-acclaimed albums, winning numerous awards from the BBC and Irish Music Magazine. Danu’ has toured throughout Europe, the Middle East, and North America from Los Angeles to New York City. Danu’ takes its audiences on a musical journey to their native Ireland, offering a moving and memorable concert experience.
