BOTKINS — The 2017 Botkins Carousel queen will be crowned Friday night, June 9, during the annual pageant, which will begin at 7 p.m. at the Botkins School.

Candidates for this year’s pageant are:

• Danielle Schwartz, daughter of Tom and Janet Schwartz, is being by the Botkins High School band. Her escort is Matt Prout.

• Grace Weatherhead, daughter of Cort and Jenny Weatherhead, is sponsored by the Botkins High School foreign language club. Her escort is Grant Greve.

• Jamie Carducci, daughter of Jimmy and Connie Carducci, is sponsored by the Botkins High School choir. Her escort is Trevor Frey.

• Jessica Haywood, daughter of Tim and Jill Haywood, is sponsored by Botkins High School FCCLA. Her escort is Austin Fullenkamp.

• Lillian Koenig, daughter of Aaron and Heide Koenig, is sponsored by Botkins High School FTA. Her escort is Ryan Brown.

• Paige Lane, daughter of Michael and Melissa Lane, is sponsored by the Botkins High School Student Council. Her escort is Wesley Frilling.

• Cassie McGowan, daughter of Jeffery and Tammy McGowan, is sponsored by Botkins High School Varsity B. Her escort is Josh Brown.

• Dani Schneider, daughter of Andrew and Julie Schneider, is sponsored by Botkins High School FFA. Her escort is Zane Egbert.

The girls will be judged on entrance and street dress, talent, evening gown and their answers to two questions.

The emcee for the evening will be Ryan Gutman. Rachel Barber will provide the interlude music. Keith Maurer will sing the national anthem and the Miss Carousel song. Heiland American Legion Post 440 will provide the color guard for the event.
