SIDNEY — Ron and Nita’s Shoe & Clothing Store in Sidney is joining the Community Blood Center “Scouting for Donors Summer Blood Drive” campaign by hosting a community blood drive Saturday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The CBC Bloodmobile will be at 134 S. Main St.
Donors can enter a drawing to win a new pair of athletic shoes. The blood drive coincides with Ron and Nita’s annual sidewalk cook-out lunch.
Everyone who registers to donate will receive the “Giving Blood, Saving Lives, That’s How I Roll! Donate Blood” t-shirt. Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment online at www.DonorTime.com or call 800-388-GIVE.
Everyone who registers to donate will also be automatically entered in the “Scouting for Donors” drawing to win an Indian Scout Sixty motorcycle. Donors must be 18 by the September 2 conclusion of the campaign to win.
CBC recently presented Ron and Nita’s with the Platinum LifeSaving Ambassadors Club award for blood drive excellence in 2016. Platinum is CBC’s highest honor to blood drive sponsors for meeting or exceeding 100 percent of collection goals.
