SIDNEY — Ryan Joseph Cathcart, 36, of Sidney, was arrested by deputies for public indecency after he was seen urinating in public at 7103 state Route 66 in Cynthian Township, Friday, July 7.

He previously was arrested for driving while under the influence and failure to control after he struck a natural gas line and the building at 110 N. Ohio Ave., setting the building ablaze in April. Cathcart was found guilty, June 27, of driving under the influence, a first degree misdemeanor. Charges for failure to control and a second offense were dropped in that case.

He was fined $375 plus costs and sentenced to four days in jail and two years’ probation. Cathcart must also complete 320 hours of community service with the Sidney Dance Company, whose property was destroyed by the building fire, and successfully complete 180 days on an alcohol monitor.

His driver’s license has been suspended for a year.
