WAPAKONETA — Candidates for the 2017 Auglaize County Fair king and queen have been named.
Queen candidates include:
• Michaelia Fisher, 16, daughter of Kim and Mike Fisher, of Wapakoneta, sponsored by the Prospects 4-H Club.
• Joanna Frankenberg, 17, daughter of Kathy and Steve Frankenberg, of New Bremen, sponsored by 4-H.
• Rebecca Lehmkuhl, 17, daughter of Karen Hoban and Bill Lehmkuhl, of Minster, sponsored by Buckeye Beavers 4-H.
• Kelly Wilker, 17, daughter of Cindy and Gene Wilker, of St. Marys, sponsored by 4-H.
• Laura Wilker, 16, daughter of Cindy and Gene Wilker, of St. Marys, sponosred by 4-H and FFA.
King candidates include:
• Dawson Carmean, 17, son of Michele Zellmann and Daniel Carmean, of Waynesfield, sponsored by 4-H.
• Brandon O’Dell, 17, son of Bobbie and Christopher O’Dell, of Spencerville, sponsored by the Noble Sodbusters.
• Kyle Prenger, 18, son of Christa and Dennis Prenger, of Minster, sponsored by Minster Livestock 4-H.
• Adam Vogel, 18, son of Ann and Jeff Vogel, of St. Marys, sponsored by the Noble Harvesters.
• Evan Vogel, 17, son of Mindy and Don Vogel, of St. Marys, sponsored by Noble Harvesters 4-H Club.
The candidates will be judged before the fair and during its first two days and will be crowned during ceremonies at the fair, July 31.
