WAPAKONETA — The Wapakoneta Theatre Guild will have auditions Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 28-29, at 7:30 p.m., for the play, “Saving Grace,” by Jack Sharkey.

Auditions will be on the second floor of the Chamber of Commerce Building, 30 E. Auglaize St., Wapakoneta. There are roles for three men and two women of any age.

“Saving Grace” is a zany tale of a warm-hearted girl who mistakes a telephone repairman for a burglar. She tries to convert him from his life of crime and then must pretend he is her husband, which shocks her older, straight-laced sister.

Performance dates are Oct. 6-8 and Oct. 13-15. It will be a dinner theater production.

The theater guild will celebrate its 50th anniversary this season. “Saving Grace” and a March production of “Butterflies Are Free” by Leonard Gershe, are a reprise of the company’s 1999-2000 season.
