OSGOOD — Archbishop Shnurr of Archdiocese of Cincinnati has asked that the parishes would have a collection for the victims of Hurricane Harvey . The weekend of Sept. 9-10 St. Nickolas and St. Louis will hold a second collection for this cause..
• If there are any adults, or juniors or seniors who wish to be readers or Communion Distributor there will be a training at St. Nickolas on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 8:30 p.m. Call or email the Pastoral office if you wish to provide your help in these areas.
• Casserole pans are available at the church entrance for those at St. Vincent de Paul Hotel. There are recipes in the pans and instructions.
• Osgood Sons of the American Legion is holding a Salute to Our Veterans on Saturday, Sept. 9. There will be a flag retirement ceremony, a salute to our fallen heroes with a 21 gun salute and taps. There is a free meal for the vets others are asked to pay a donation.
A guest Speaker, John Hunt, was involved in the Black Hawk Down rescue mission.. Fireworks at dusk. This all begins at 3 p.m. with meal at 5 p.m. The event is open to the public. Call Scott at 419-582-1424 for more information.
