PIQUA — Two Shelby county residents were arrested and charged for the theft of two vacuum cleaners from Walmart on Aug. 28.

The initial report stated a male subject left the store with the vacuum cleaners without paying. Michael Cotterman, 46, of Sidney, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft, Wednesday. Sheila Tron, 38, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor complicity in connection with the incident. Tron is also facing sentencing in Miami County later this month for charges of theft.

The charges are filed against them in Miami County Municipal court.
