Minster opens annual fund drive

MINSTER — The Minster Community Fund has opened its annual fund drive for 2017.

Donation request letters are being mailed to Minster residents this month. This drive is the fund’s only fundraising event throughout the year. The 2017 goal is $10,000.

The Minster Community Fund was established in 1994 through efforts of the Minster Civic Association. The purpose of the fund is to promote and support charitable endeavors benefiting citizens of the Minster School District.

Recent projects and events supported by the Minster Community Fund include the Minster High School after-prom, the Minster High School Scholarship Fund, Operation Girl Scout Cookies, Minster High School Student Council Relay for Life team; Buckeye Boys and Girls states of the American Legion; the Minster Historical Society; Minster Fire and Rescue Squad and Minster Local Schools defibrillator replacement.
