Minster K of C wins award

MINSTER — Knights of Columbus Council 2158 of Minster has earned the distinction of STAR Council for the 2016-17 fraternal year.

The award recognizes overall excellence in the areas of membership recruitment, growth in the insurance program, volunteerism and sponsorship of service activities for youth, family, community and church.

The award was presented to the membership by District Deputy Jim Goettemoeller at the council’s November meeting. Grand Knight Roger Rutschilling thanked all the members who contributed to helping the council earn the award, Goettemoeller, insurance agent Christopher McCormick and past District Deputy Jerry Tebbe.
