COLUMBUS — Elizabeth Landis, of Anna, has been selected to receive scholarships from the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) at The Ohio State University.

Landis, an agriscience education major, was awarded the CFAES Study Abroad Fund, the Mervin G. Smith Student and Faculty Fund in International Agriculture and the Kuhl Stubbs Scholarship Fund in Agricultural Communications for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Earlier this year, she was awarded the Agricultural Education Scholarship from the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership (ACEL).

Each year, CFAES awards undergraduate students approximately $2.1 million in scholarships. This year, ACEL students received $253,721 through CFAES college and department scholarships.

Agriscience education is one of three undergraduate majors within ACEL. This major prepares students to acquire a license to teach agricultural science in secondary high schools through extensive training in agriculture science, educational psychology, instructional methods and youth development.
