Seminar to address pelvic pain

TROY — Premier Health will present a free evening seminar in Troy about pelvic pain.

The event is part of the health system’s “Women, Wisdom and Wellness” health initiative and will take place Oct. 24 in the Crystal Room, 845 W. Market St. at 5:30 p.m. Advance registration is required by Oct. 22 at 866-608-3463.

Premier Health physician Larry Holland, of Premier Women’s Center, will present information about various conditions that cause pelvic pain in women, as well as treatment options. He and pelvic physical therapist Malia Scheidt will answer questions and schedule appointments.

Holland is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology. He graduated from the University of Osteopathic Medicine – Health Sciences in Iowa in 1991 and completed his residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Michigan. He also completed a fellowship in minimally invasive gynecological surgery at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. Holland serves as robotic surgery physician trainer for Premier Health’s daVinci Surgical System and is nationally recognized in genetic testing and counseling.
