COLUMBUS — More than 12 million Americans have been diagnosed with COPD, and an estimated 12 million more Americans are living with the disease without even knowing it.

The American Lung Association will offer a one-hour, online presentation, Feb. 23, at 3 p.m., in which a panel of experts will discuss the actions one can take to make living with COPD easier and address common COPD management questions.

Participants will have the opportunity to hear experts talk about topics including managing side effects, preventing exacerbations, medication management and coping with the emotional burden of the disease. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions at the conclusion of the webinar.

At the end of this webinar, attendees should be able to identify what they can do on daily basis to successfully manage their COPD; understand the stigma associated with COPD and identify strategies for coping with it; and recognize the American Lung Association’s educational and support resources available for those living with COPD.

Register by emailing [email protected] and submit questions to be answered live during the call.
