SIDNEY — The Wilson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary recently made a gift of $17,000 to Wilson Health, raising the organization’s total donations to almost $775,800.

Their contributions have been used for a variety of patient care needs, including Wilson’s sleep lab, endoscopy suite, Copeland-Emerson Family Birth Center, Wilson Hospice Care, and, most recently, Wilson Health’s emergency department.

In 2015, 11 new members joined the ranks of the auxiliary bringing the total membership to 140 members including active, associate and honorary members. This group provided more than 17,304 hours of service, the equivalent of more than eight full-time employees, in 2015.

The officers for 2016 are Sonja Watkins, president; Sandi Wilt, vice president; Carolyn Freisthler, recording secretary; Sharon Kerber, corresponding secretary; Susan Kaser, gift shop treasurer; and Phyllis Seving, auxiliary treasurer.
