Peerless to host blood drive

SIDNEY — Peerless Food Equipment in Sidney will host a Community Blood Center (CBC) blood drive Friday, Sept. 4, from 8 to 11 a.m. The CBC Bloodmobile will be at 500 S. Vandemark Road. Everyone who registers to donate can choose a free T-shirt or other available donor gift from recent blood drive campaigns. Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment online at www.DonorTime.com or call 800-388-GIVE.

The end of summer comes with a chance for donors to choose a gift from a previous blood drive campaign they may have missed. Everyone who registers to donate Monday, Aug. 31, through Saturday, Sept. 5, at any CBC Donor Center and most CBC mobile blood drives will receive a T-shirt or other donor gift from the available supply.

The Labor Day period can be a challenging time for maintaining the blood supply because of holiday travel and activities. If you miss a chance to donate CBC encourages you to reschedule when you are able. We especially encourage the continued support of type O whole blood donors and type A/B platelet and plasma donors.
