SIDNEY — The Sidney-Shelby County Heath Department has recognized several local businesses for their support of breastfeeding families.

The Heath Department’s Women, Infants and Children (WIC) office recognized Sidney Walmart Supercenter, Subway and JJ Kids and Co. Each business was provided an award of recognition and materials to continue their support.

August was National Breastfeeding Awarness Month. The theme for the month was “Breastfeeding and Work … Let’s Make It Work.” Throughout the month, WIC breastfeeding working mothers were interviewed regarding working and receiving support during their work hours.
