Health fair set for Nov. 4

MINSTER — The Grand Lake Health System will hold its annual Fall Health Fair on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Auglaize Mercer Family YMCA, 4075 Wuebker Road, Minster.

There will be cardiac risk assessment, general assessment and cancer marker testing available. All these programs have a fee for the testing. Fees range from $10 to $40. Some require fasting.

Programs free to those coming to the health fair include chair mini massages, reflexology and a continental breakfast, along with free screenings for osteoporosis, dermascan, body fat analysis, blood pressure, foot, hearing, colorectal cancer test kids, diabetic Neuropathies, peripheral circulatory, spinal screenings/posture checks and oral cancer screenings.

Free information will be provided by Medical Imaging, Behavioral Health, Grand Lake Home Health, Grand Lake Hospice, Grand Lake Wound Center, New Day Pain Management Center, Advance Directives, asthma education and organ donations (Life Connections of Ohio).

Diabetic information and screening will also be available.

The Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office and Grand Lake Health System will be co-sponsoring the Drug Take Back Program.

Help Me Grow program will be there for the children.
