VERSAILLES — Dr. Chad Weber, orthopedic surgeon and Versailles Health Care Center Rehab medical director, and Versailles Health Care Center physical therapist Stephanie Goubeaux, discussed planning for joint replacement surgery during a recent class here.

Weber emphasized the importance of planning care for before and after surgery. According to Weber, most people think that the surgeon will plan their post-surgical care and, in reality, it is up to the patient. In addition, he spoke about the surgical procedures and risks and complications. He encouraged choosing a rehab center to benefit from extensive rehabilitation services and to give the patient the best chance at a successful recovery.

Ruth Kremer, of Versailles, won the door prize, a free entree at Michael Anthony’s at the Inn.
