SIDNEY — The Shelby County Animal Rescue Foundation (SCARF) will host a low-cost pet vaccine and microchip clinic in the Shelby County Animal Shelter, 1100 Clem Road, April 15, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Advance registration is required. The registration deadline is April 1. Area residents can register their dogs and cats for vaccinations and microchipping at reduced rates by filing a form at the animal shelter before the deadline. Forms are available at the shelter and at www.helpshelbycountyanimals.com.
Dr. Tim Woodward will administer the vaccines. Shelter staff will provide microchipping services.
Prices of the available services are as follows: Vaccines for dogs: rabies, $12; distemper/parvocoronalepto combo, $10; microchip, $25. Vaccines for cats: feline four-way, $8; feline leukemia, $15; rabies, $12; microchip, $25.
Services must be paid for at the time of registration.
Dogs must be leashed and cats must be in carriers when they arrive at the clinic.
