BELLEFONTAINE — The Logan County Art League has set Aug. 10 as the deadline to register for a workshop by watercolorist Christopher Leeper.

The four-day watercolor/acrylic workshop for beginning through advanced students will be Sept. 19-22 in the First Presbyterian Church, 117 N. Main St., Bellefontaine. The cost is $325.

Leeper is one of the Ohio’s foremost watercolor teachers. Each day there will be demonstrations and one-on-one instruction. This workshop will focus on the process of creating a painting and developing a plan for success. The importance of drawing, design and brushwork will be emphasized. Improving color mixing and how to get dynamic value relationships will be a goal.

Leeper will give a painting demonstration at 6 p.m., Sept. 18, in the Gallery at the Holland, 127 E. Columbus Ave., Bellefontaine. This demonstration is free and the public is invited to attend.
