SIDNEY — Rotarians talked football during their Aug. 21 meeting.

Three local high school head football coaches spoke about their squads and what their expectations were for the year.

But Whitt Park from Fort Loramie, Dick Roll from Lehman and Adam Doenges from Sidney presented a message that was more about life then the wins and loses.

All three coaches talked about how proud they were of their football players and how hard they work. Park said it was a privilege to represent the community, and that football, as in life, requires discipline and order to succeed. Roll talked about teaching principles that followed old-school practices and said it takes hard work and dedication. Doenges described how hard all players work and how proud he was of his team.

Rotarians wished all three coaches luck in the upcoming season.
