SIDNEY — The Sidney Elks Lodge, 221 S. Main St., will be the site of a chicken dinner fundraiser to support the purchase of toys for children in Haiti.

The dinner will be Oct. 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. Meals will cost $6 each and will include a half chicken, French fries, cole slaw and a dinner roll. They will be available for carry out as well as for dining in.

Funds raised will be forwarded to Grace International, a Florida-based charity that provides toys, food and clothing to destitute children in Haiti. It is hoped that 10,000 children can receive gifts this year. Many of the children have never owned toys.
