SIDNEY — Local author Kimberly Hensley will be at the Amos Memorial Public Library, 230 E. North St., Saturday, May 12 at 1 p.m. to discuss her new book, “From Fatherless to Fearless.”

She wrote the book with other women and will speak about the struggles of life, hardships and unpleasant experiences and how they shape and mold people toward a purpose in life. Her presentation will cover how to transform the emotion of fear into motivation to step out to the unknown.

The book details the journeys of nine women from tragedy to triumph. It tackles the issue of being fatherless and the plague of being rejected and abandoned before they even had a chance. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

Hensley graduated from Houston High School and is a licensed cosmetologist. She is a mother of three children and a missionary. Her first mission trip was to India and she currently does mission work in Haiti. She has also explored Paris and Toronto and has traveled extensively within the United States.
