SIDNEY — The Sidney Civic Band will perform its annual Fourth of July concert, “God Bless America,” Friday, July 6, at 7 p.m., on the courtsquare in downtown Sidney.

“The band really enjoys celebrating our nation’s birthday with this patriotic concert,” said Sidney Civic Band Conductor Phil Chilcote. “We hope to see you downtown. Wear your red, white and blue. We will be playing ‘National Emblem March,’ ‘The Liberty Bell,’ ‘An American Tribute.’ ‘Americans We’ and ‘The U.S. Field Artillery March,’, just to name a few. This year, we are excited to add the Senior Center Chorus for your enjoyment. They will accompany the band on ‘Star Spangled Spectacular,’ ‘The Light Eternal,’ ‘The Navy Hymn’ and ‘God Bless America.’ I think everyone will appreciate what this 25-member group brings to the music.”

Attendees should take lawn chairs. Refreshments will be available for purchase from the Connection Point Church of God Relay for Life team beginning 30 minutes prior to the concert. Two Spot pies will be given to the winners of the random drawing trivia question.

In case of rain, the concert will be in the Connection Point Church of God, 1510 Campbell Road. The concert is free.
