“Dance, Mr. Matisse,” an oil painting by Jackson Center artist Dan Knepper, won first place in its category in the Piqua Arts Council’s Fine Art Show, exhibited through September in the Apple Tree Gallery in downtown Piqua. Another Knepper painting, “Amy’s Sky” received an honorable mention. A third, “Glitter,” earned the People’s Choice Award at the Springfield Museum of Art and is now for sale in the Howard/Mandville Gallery near Seattle, Washington.
