SIDNEY — The Sidney-Shelby County YMCA and Wilson Health Hospice will host Camp Hope for children 6 to 17 who are grieving the loss of a loved one.

The camp will meet for one day, Oct. 20, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the YMCA, 200 Parkwood St. There is not fee to attend, but registration by Oct. 18 is necessary. Call 498-9335 to register.

Participants will swim, rock climb, play games and make art and music. Activities have been designed specifically to help children hold on to their special memories, express thoughts and feelings in addition to grief education and bereavement support.

Snacks and unch will be provided.

Parents and guardians can attend a separate session on the same day, also at the YMCA, to learn how to deal with grief and support a grieving child.
