Library plans Lego party

SIDNEY — The Amos Memorial Public Library will celebrate International Lego Day, Jan. 28, with a party for children in kindergarten through fifth grade.

The 6 p.m. event is free and will include speed-building challenges, target games, snacks, a craft and prizes.

“Our library is very excited to be celebrating International Lego Day,” said Youth Services Director Rikki Unterbrink. “Jan. 28, 2019, marks the 61st anniversary of the day that the original patent was filed for the Lego brick. Our library has been offering Lego-themed programs for many years, but with the new Lego movie set to release next month, it’s a great time to celebrate and invite new builders. There’s no need to bring your own bricks, we have plenty!”
