SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Bingo Blitz, the No. 1 bingo app, has announced an innovative contest that seamlessly merges the excitement of bingo and the creativity of cooking, to celebrate its newest feature, Blitzy’s Trattoria.

Just as Bingo Blitz’s host Blitzy enjoys experimenting with new and unique tastes and dishes, participants are invited to create their very own recipes, based on unique ingredients they find on their respective bingo boards. The social bingo-themed contest will award a total of $4,500 in gift cards to contestants with the best recipe submissions.

The Cooking with Bingo contest consists of three phases: a Facebook live video event, where participants will play a free-to-play bingo game to collect their unique ingredients; next, the recipe submission and selection process; and, lastly, Bingo Blitz will host the final Facebook live event, where a guest chef will prepare the finalists’ recipes and determine the winner.

To participate, players must register to receive a unique bingo board for free on CookingWithBingo.com, in which the typical numbers are replaced with everyday food items. On Feb. 14, participants can log on to CookingWithBingo.com for a live game of bingo, in which recipe ingredients will be called. Every participant will receive a bingo, but with different ingredients, as no two boards are the same.

Next, contestants must use their bingo ingredients along with any other ingredients of their choice to concoct a recipe. The more creative and unique, the better, as the best recipe will win a prize. Players have until Feb. 22 to submit their recipes. The recipes will be judged independently through a predetermined set of criteria, and finalists will be announced Feb. 26.

Finally, the remaining three recipes will be recreated during a Bingo Blitz Facebook Live event, where a guest chef will cook the recipes. The dishes will be carefully judged, and a winner will be chosen. The winner will be awarded a $2,500 Amazon gift card; however, the runner-ups won’t go home empty handed as they each will be given a $1,000 Amazon gift card.

Both active and new Bingo Blitz players in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia are invited to participate in the Cooking with Bingo contest, by signing up at www.CookingWithBingo.com. Official rules are available on the website. Participants must be 21 or older. No purchase or play is required. Winners are not determined by playing Bingo Blitz, and playing Bingo Blitz is not a component of the contest.
