The union evangelistic campaign which has been in process for the last six weeks came to a close last evening with impressive services. The number of professed conversions and re-consencrations was about 1000. Of this number it is expected that about 400 will unite with the various churches . Evangelist Hall and Rev. Flannigan left at the close of the meeting for Pittsburgh where the next campaign is to be held. The choir and a large crowd went with them to the station.

Harry C. Comer and Walter Pence leave tomorrow for a hunting trip to Southern Florida. There are about 20 persons in the party from Lima and St. Mary’s. They will occupy a special car on the trip and after 10 days in camp will go to New Orleans and attend the Mardi Gras.

Feb. 13, 1941

With Wilson Memorial Hospital crowded nearly to capacity, it was revealed at the regular monthly meeting of the board of trustees last evening that the census of the hospital for January was the largest in the history of the institution. A total of 94 patients received treatment during the month. The board at the meeting organized electing William Amos, president, William Milligan, vice-president, Carl Berger, secretary and Oscar Berringer, treasurer.

George Dill assumed the duties of president of the board of religious education today, filling the vacancy created by the resignation of Robert Neher, who held the post for several years. Other obligations compelled Neher to submit his resignation. Dill had been serving as vice-president.

Feb. 13, 1966

Of the more than half a million dollars of taxable property in Shelby County damaged in the Palm Sunday tornado in 1965, nearly half has been rebuilt. This was disclosed today by Shelby County Auditor Thelma Short on the basis of reappraisals made in recent weeks.

Highlights of the WHIO-TV program of interviews with men of the Miami Valley now in Vietnam was the picture and story of Lt. Fletcher Zimpfer. Lt. Zimpfer left the United States after Thanksgiving as a U.S. Marine Corps Medical Officer. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Zimpfer. His wife, the former Mary Wenstrup , resides with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wenstrup of Port Jefferson Road.

For Stacie Archer, an eighth grade student at Bridgeview School, the war in the Persian Gulf is just as frightening as it is to everyone else in the country but he has found a way to deal with it. Archer 13 and the son of Nancy and Thomas Archer has an ability to put his feelings down on paper in the form of cartoons , and that according to his mother, is how he has dealt with latest crises. “As the war continues to wage and new developments occur daily each of us must find a way to deal with the crises.” One of Stacie’s ways to cope with the world situation is to create political cartoons.

ANNA — With a study stream of trucks nearby flowing in and out of the plant as a busy backdrop. Honda of America officials Thursday morning marked the production of the one millionth engine for Honda of America in Anna. The one millionth engine was a 2.2 liter 4 cylinder specially decked out in Ohio State University colors scarlet and gray.
