MOULTON — A young St. Marys woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash Monday in western Auglaize County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at 3:05 p.m., Heaven Leigh Bolinger, 18, of St. Marys, was driving a 1998 Oldsmobile 4-door south on Kettlersville Road when she failed to stop at the U.S. 33 intersection. Charles C. Estle, 24, of Mendon was driving a 2015 Nissan SUV west on U.S. 33 when he struck the Oldsmobile on the driver’s side, forcing the vehicle off the road into the median.

Bolinger had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Buckland Fire Department. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Auglaize County coroner. Estle was transported to Lima Memorial Health System with undisclosed injuries.

Both of the drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, and alcohol is not suspected to be a factor.

This is the second fatal on U.S. Route 33 in a week. On April 16, Kennedy Schreiber, 16, of St. Marys, was killed after she failed to stop at a stop sign on Townline-Kossuth Road at the intersection of U.S. 33.
