Upper Valley Career Center Board of Education

PIQUA — The Upper Valley Career Center Board of Education will meet Monday, Nov. 23, at 6 p.m. in the Adams Board Room at the school. Reports from the superintendent, along with other school officials, will be given to the board. Donations, personnel items and out-of-state travel requests will be discussed.

Sidney City Council

SIDNEY — Sidney City Council will meet Monday at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers.

Firefighter awards will be presented and an update on solid waste collection will be given.

Council will consider adopting ordinances setting utility rates, amending the salvage ordinance, and authorizing plans of governance for electric and natural gas aggregation.

Ordinances to be introduced would make supplemental appropriations for this year and appropriations for next year, amend personnel policies, adopt pay tables, and assess the cost of weed cutting and removal of litter.

Council also will consider resolutions authorizing the purchase of electricity and natural gas for the aggregation program and commending Rick Sims for his service on council.

New Knoxville Board of Education

NEW KNOXVILLE — The New Knoxville Board of Education will meet Monday, Nov. 23, at 7 p.m. in the media center of the school. Reports will be given by the superintendent, principals and education association representative. Also on the agenda are employment contracts and donations to the district.

Fort Loramie Board of Education

FORT LORAMIE — The Fort Loramie Board of Education will meet Monday, Nov. 23, at 7 p.m., in the Media Center.

The board will consider the purchase of a school bus, basketball ticket prices, a bond reissue and employment contracts.

Anna Village Council

ANNA — Anna Village Council will meet Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 7 p.m. in council chambers in the village hall.

Approval of financial statements and the payment of bills is on the agenda, as well as the first reading of several ordinances and resolutions. Committees and officials will give their reports and old business of the solicitor contract will be discussed.

Emergency ordinances authorizing an adjustment in compensation for full-time and part-time employees and authorizing the village administrator to enter into an agreement with Stolly Insurance Group for Insurance Coverage during the period Nov. 28, 2015, through Nov. 28, 2016, will both be up for vote.

Cynthian Township Trustees

NEWPORT — The date for the Cynthian Township trustee meeting, scheduled for Monday, Dec. 7, has been changed due to a scheduling conflict. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. at the Township Hall in Newport.
