NEW BREMEN — On Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, the New Bremen Foundation is participating in the 4th annual Giving Tuesday, a global day dedicated to giving.

Last year, more than 30,000 organizations in 68 countries came together to celebrate Giving Tuesday. Since its founding in 2012, Giving Tuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours, and activities that bring about real change in communities.

Giving Tuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The goal is to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities by giving back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support. We invite you to join us in the movement and help support our local community during the holiday season.

Giving Tuesday is about ordinary people coming together doing extraordinary things. Established in 1996, the New Bremen Foundation fosters philanthropy by connecting people who care with causes that matter. The foundation invests your charitable funds to support local non-profit organizations and community programs. Upcoming projects for the New Bremen Foundation include an exciting trail paving project in the Kuenning-Dicke Natural Area as well as sponsoring the 2016 New Bremen High School Senior Seminar, which helps prepare students for life after high school.
