SIDNEY — The Sidney Police Department, in cooperation with New Choices Inc. and Sidney/Shelby County Crime Stoppers, will offer a Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Basic Physical Defense for Women class.

The class will be held Dec. 28-31 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Sidney Police Department, 234 W. Court St.

This nationally recognized, 12-hour, self-defense course is open to women age 13 and older (minors must be accompanied by an adult) who wish to learn basic self-defense. The class is free but limited to 12 participants. Instructors ask that participants commit to attend all four sessions. The courses are taught by certified RAD instructors from the sponsoring agencies. Preregistration is required.
