SIDNEY — The Sidney Civic Band’s Christmas concert will be held Dec. 13 at 3 p.m. at the Connection Point Church of God, 1510 Campbell Road in Sidney.

“The Sidney Civic Band is delighted to bring our ‘Let There Be Peace on Earth’ concert to the community,” said Director Phil Chilcote. “The troubles in the world are many, but we hope that by reflecting on the reason for the season, peace will come into our lives. We thank all of our loyal concertgoers for their support.”

Musical selections will include “Jingle Bell Rock,” “The Christmas Waltz,” “Sleigh Ride,” “Christmas Wonderland,” “Let There Be Peace on Earth,” “Fum, Fum, Fum” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”

Soprano soloist Carol Palmer will perform “Mary Did You Know?” and “Grown Up Christmas List.”

There will be a special appearance by Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus.

Carol Palmer, of Piqua, sings “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas,” accompanied by the Sidney Civic Band during the band’s 2014 Christmas Concert. This year’s concert will be Dec. 13.
