OVI checkpoint announced

WAPAKONETA – The Ohio State Highway Patrol, in conjunction with the St. Marys Police Department, will hold an OVI checkpoint from 8 to 10 p.m. Thursday night on stateRoute 29 in Auglaize County.

The OVI checkpoint, funded by federeal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

The checkpoint will also be held in conjunction with nearby saturatin patrols to aggressively combat driver-related injury and fatal crashes.
