SIDNEY — Local participants will join in the National Life Chain Sunday, Oct. 7, at 2:30 p.m. on the courtsquare in Sidney.

The Life Chain, which takes place in more than a thousand communities across North America, brings attention to the issue of abortion and promotes respect for human life and dignity. The event begins with a brief program at the west steps of the courthouse, followed by a period of prayer and witness on the sidewalks around the court square.

Life Chain is sponsored by Right to Life of Shelby County and is free and open to the public.
