SIDNEY — The Sidney Daily News will not publish a newspaper on New Year’s Day, Friday, Jan. 1.

The Daily News office will be open until 3 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, Thursday, Dec. 31, and closed on New Year’s Day. Any obituary received after the 3 p.m. deadline for the Dec. 31 newspaper will be placed online and published in the Jan. 2 newspaper. A noon obituary deadline will apply on Jan. 1 for the Jan. 2 issue. Regular deadlines for obituaries will start on Sunday, Jan. 3, for the Monday, Jan. 4, newspaper.
