SIDNEY — Shelby County commissioners have awarded a contract to Complete General Construction Co., of Columbus, for reconstruction of the Fair Road bridge.
The contract is in the amount of $2,378,629.97. The firm’s bid was selected from among five bids that were submitted in mid-October for the project.
In other recent business, the commissioners:
• Authorized advertising for requests for statements of qualifications from independent radio communications consulting services to assist in the review and evaluation of Shelby County’s current public safety radio system. Statements of qualifications must be submitted by Nov. 30 at 11 a.m.
• Set the date and time for viewing and a hearing concerning a petition to vacate a portion of Canal Street and alleys in Cynthian Township. The viewing will be at the site, Nov. 27, at 11 a.m. The hearing will be at the Board of Commissioners’ office, Nov. 29, at 10 a.m.
