SIDNEY — Late Saturday night several loud “booms” were heard in parts of Shelby County.

This triggered numerous calls to be placed to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and Sidney Police Department.

The calls that came in were centered in the southeast portion of the county and into the city of Sidney. The area was checked Saturday night, but a source was never found and no reports of damage were reported.

As of 12:30 p.m. Sunday, a cause of the “booms” had not been determined, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
