Wilson welcomes new doctors

SIDNEY — New, retiring and the significant milestones of physicians and medical providers associated with Wilson Health were honored Wednesday evening, Nov. 7, at the Shelby Oaks Golf Club.

Wilson’s business after hours event, held in conjunction with the Sidney-Shelby Chamber of Commerce, included area business associates, community leaders and the medical and leadership teams of Wilson Health.

“As our patients remain at the heart of our mission, we come to know that we are only as good as our medical providers,” said Duane Francis, interim president and CEO at Wilson Health. “This is what brings us together this evening — to honor and recognize members of the Wilson Health medical family.”

The providers in attendance who joined the Wilson Health medical staff in 2018 include: Dr. Chad Broering, orthopedic surgery; Dr. Stephanie Dunkle-Blatter, general/bariatric surgery; Dr. Joy Hart, ob/gyn; Dr. Jill Hemmelgarn, nephrology; Dr. Amanda McAleer, ob/gyn (Jan. 2019); Dr. Jane Morford, family medicine (Jan. 2019); Dr. Edward Omerhi, family medicine; Tammie Kelton, CNP, family medicine; Barb Pleiman, CNP, family medicine; Erica Smith, CNP, family medicine; and Sydney Snyder, CNP, occupational health/family medicine.

Dr. Frederick Simpson, chief medical officer at Wilson Health, also recognized physicians who have reached significant milestones in their careers at Wilson Health. “I am honored to be able to stand before you this evening to recognize some of my colleagues for their years of service to not only Wilson Health, but to the community.”

The following physicians were recognized for years of service:

5 years: Dr. Michael Muha, orthopedic surgery

10 years: Dr. Karen Smith, pediatrics and Dr. Barbara Hill, internal medicine

15 years: Dr. Michael Trygstad, family medicine; Dr. Norman Moser, nephrology; and Dr. Jonah Ukiwe, nephrology

20 years: Dr. Frederick Simpson, family medicine

30 years: Dr. Robert McDevitt, general surgery

Retirement: Dr. Kenneth Bosslet, family medicine
