SIDNEY — Investigators and officers from the Sidney and Piqua Police Departments executed a search warrant at 320 Franklin Ave., Sidney Ohio, Friday, Nov. 16, at 8:30 a.m..
Recovered during the search was approximately $750 in counterfeit money and equipment used in the production of counterfeit money. Among those items were printers, scanners, and a cutting board and other counterfeiting tools. The illegal narcotic Fentanyl and production equipment associated with the cooking of Meth were also located and seized from the residence.
As a result of the search warrant arrested are Kendra S. Chamberlin, age 23, and Jesse A. White, age 30, both who reside at 320 Franklin Ave. are charged with one count of forgery, a felony of the 5th degree. Also arrested and charged was Tisha M. Hecht, age 38, 320 Franklin Ave., who has been charged with one count of possession of drugs, a felony of the 5th degree.
All three have been incarcerated at the Shelby County Jail. Other charges are likely forthcoming as the investigation continues and is reviewed with the Shelby County Prosecutor.
Over the last few months several complaints have been investigated from various businesses in the City in regards to counterfeit money appearing in deposits. This recent arrest incident is likely to be a source of some of the money that has been appearing throughout the City but other yet to be identified sources are also contributing to the recent influx of counterfeit money.
