SIDNEY — A package containing a kilo (2.2 pounds) of black tar heroin was seized by Sidney Police from a storage facility in Sidney on Wednesday, Nov. 14.
According to a press release from the Sidney Police Department, police were made aware of a suspicious package at a storage facility, on Nov. 14, 2018. During the course of the investigation the package was determined to be a kilo (2.2 pounds) of black tar heroin with an estimated street value of $100,000.
Once the narcotics were recovered, a suspect was identified and the investigation is ongoing. After the investigtion is complete, the case will be forwarded to the Shelby County Prosecutor for review of charges, the release said.
