SIDNEY — The Perry Township Trustees held its 2016 reorganization meeting on Dec. 28, 2015, at 7:15 pm.
Harry Groves Jr. will be the chairman for 2016, with Matthew Barhorst as vice chairman.
Eric Pierson was rehired as Perry Township Superintendent and Road Maintenance.
The regular township meetings will be held on the fourth Monday of every month except for the following months: Tuesday, March 29; Thursday, July 21; and all meetings will begin at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, Dec. 28, regular and year end meeting at 6:30 p.m. with the reorganization meeting for 2017 to follow.
Part time and contracted labor will be paid the state minimum wage at $8.10 per hour.
Zoning Officer and Fire Officer have not been appointed to date.
The Township approved to set as emergency appropriations in the amount of $30,000.
Zoning Board members will receive $20 per meeting that they attend and the regional planning representative will receive $25 per meeting attended.
The trustees voted not to raise any prices at Cedar Point Cemetery at this time.
Zoning fees will stay at the current charges.
The EMA representative from Perry Township will be Mark Henman.
The PPS Ambulance District Board Representative will be Barhorst.
The Trustees signed a five-year contract with the Port Jefferson Fire Department for an annual compensation of $14,077.86.
