SIDNEY — Organizations in or serving Shelby County may be eligible to apply for a Community Grant from the Community Foundation of Shelby County. The deadline for preliminary proposal submission is Jan. 31.

Before applying, organizations should review grant guidelines on the Foundation’s website at commfoun.com. If there is an interest in applying, the first step is to contact executive director Marian Spicer at [email protected] or call during business hours at 937-497-7800. The contact should provide the type of program or project and amount being requested. If the request is suitable, permission to apply may be given.

The online preliminary proposal asks for basic information. Additional information will be requested in the coming weeks for those organizations whose request is advanced in the process.

The Community Foundation offers two Community Grants cycles each year. The next deadline to apply will be Aug. 7.
