SIDNEY – Diane Reiss of the Anna area has joined the board of trustees of the Community Foundation of Shelby County. She was recently appointed to a five-year term by Judge James Stevenson of the Shelby County Court of Common Pleas.

A graduate of Anna High School and Wright State University, Reiss has past experience in human resources and works as a substitute teacher and at Tossum in Anna.

She is a volunteer for Women’s Center-Sidney and is an active member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, where she is a lector and serves as an officer of the Altar Rosary Sodality. Reiss is the vice president of the Donald and Evelyn Bensman Foundation and a past member of Charity League. She and her husband Adam have three children.

“Diane has experience with granting and she will be a great addition to our board,” said Doug Borchers, board chair. “She brings community involvement, knowledge and credibility that are important as we grow.”

She replaces Priscilla Wilt, of Sidney, who left the board after she fulfilled the maximum two terms. During her tenure, Wilt served two years a vice chair and two years as chair. She will continue on the Distribution and Investment committees of the Foundation.

The Community Foundation of Shelby County administers more than 195 charitable funds including scholarships, donor advised funds and funds supporting local organizations, projects and causes. Information may be found at www.commfoun.com.
