Sidney Zoning Board of Appeals

SIDNEY — The Sidney Zoning Board of Appeals will meet Monday, Feb. 8, at 4 p.m. in City Council chambers.

The board will consider a request by Michael Wick for a variance to reduce the required rear yard to 26 feet, 2 inches, where the minimum depth for a rear yard in the R-1, single-family residence district is 30 feet. The property is located at 1180 Winter Ridge Drive.

Sidney City Council

SIDNEY — Sidney City Council will meet Monday, Feb. 8, at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers.

Council will consider the adoption of an ordinance regarding license applications for peddlers. Council will introduce ordinances that would make supplemental appropriations for 2016 for the city budget and the Convention and Visitors Bureau Fund, and would annex 25.249 acres. Also, a public hearing will be held and an ordinance introduced concerning zoning for the acreage to be annexed.

Resolutions on the agenda would authorize sidewalk construction or repairs and an agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation to install a traffic signal at the intersection of Fair Road and the Interstate 75 northbound ramp. Another resolution would appoint Warren Koogler to the Tree Board.

Council will discuss adjustment of Port Jefferson sewer rates. In an executive session, council will discuss discipline of a public employee, preparing for negotiations or bargaining sessions with public employees, the purchase of property, and pending or imminent court action.

Anna Local School Board

ANNA — The Anna Board of Education will meet Monday, Feb. 8, at 6:30 p.m. in Middle School Room 209.

The board will hear reports from the elementary, middle and high schools, the treasurer and superintendent. It is outlined that the treasurer will discuss income tax settlement, rates and amounts, insurance renewal, and professional development. It is outlined the superintendent will discuss the facilities renovation levy, board reports and employee intent surveys.

The board will hear a recommendation to award supplemental contracts in new business and will take an executive session to discuss negotiations with public employees.

Jackson Center Village Council

JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Village Council will meet Monday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m. in council chambers.

They will approve the minutes from the past two meetings and read several ordinances for the second time. They will hear reports from committees, the administrator and the police chief. They will also have an executive session for the purpose of discussing the purchase or sale of real estate and considering discipline of a public employee.

Fort Loramie Village Council

FORT LORAMIE — Fort Loramie Village Council will meet in regular session Monday, Feb. 8, at 8 p.m.

Council will receive updates on the Main Street, Redskin Memorial Park, Middendorf Plat Neighborhood and electric and natural gas aggregation projects.

Council will consider ordinances to approve 2016 appropriations and adopting the Ohio Basic Code, look at pay stub policy and discuss trash and recycling options.

Council will then go into executive session to discuss sale of property.

New Bremen Village Council

NEW BREMEN — The New Bremen Village Council will meet for a budget workshop, Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 5:45 p.m. in the Municipal Center, 214 N. Washington St.,New Bremen.

The council will discuss 2016 projects.

New Bremen Board of Education

NEW BREMEN — The New Bremen Board of Education will meet Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. in the Community Room.

On the agenda are a presentation by Garmann/Miller & Associates, consideration of supplemental employment contracts, conference attendance approval, and recognition of volunteers.
