SIDNEY — During February, the art of Myra Carpenter decorates the walls of the art gallery at the Amos Library, 230 E. North St.
Most of her paintings are oil on canvas: birds, landscapes and animals. She also has some drawings in charcoal.
In 2004 she began taking art lessons with Tom Cooper, a certified instructor of artist Bob Ross, and she continues to take a class each month.
The solid wood frames are handmade by her husband, Bill Carpenter. Granddaughter Angelina Carpenter has pieces on display, as well. The Carpenters live in Sidney.
