Active Shooter Response Seminar planned

SIDNEY — The Shelby County Liberty Group in conjunction with United Calvary Baptist Church will hold an Active Shooter Response Seminar presented by Officer Bryce Stewart, Community Resource Officer of the Sidney Police Department.

The seminar will be conducted May 11 at 10 a.m. at the United Calvary Baptist Church, 9480 County Road 25A North.

Stewart has been with the Sidney Police Department since 2005 and is currently the Community Resource Officer. He has been Sidney High Schools resource officer and is also a member of the SWAT team. He is an active shooter response instructor certified for civilian response.

The goal for the seminar is for participants to be prepared for any event that might occur having to do with an active shooter. With today’s happenings it is better to be prepared — an active shooter tragically knows no bounds.

It is free and all are welcome to attend.
