Arbor Day was recognized at Northwood Elementary with the planting of a Buckeye tree in memory of Sidney Firefighter Tony McLain. Standing around the tree are, left to right, front, Mike Hussey, Pamela McLain, Tony McLain’s wife Bridget McLain, Northwood Elementary Principal Eric Barr, and Sidney Mayor Mike Barhorst. Members of the Sidney Fire Department came to show their support. The city of Sidney was named a 2019 Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation.
