3 injured in two-vehicle crash

Perry-Port-Salem, Anna, and Wapakoneta Rescue, Botkins Fire, and The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle accident on the state Route 274 overpass over Interstate 75 at around 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19. Three people were transported to nearby hospitals. According to the sheriff’s office, the passenger door of one of the vehicles had to be cut off to better access one of the individuals. The cause of the accident was failure to yield. The vehicle at fault exited Interstate 75 northbound and attempted to get back on southbound and struck a vehicle that was traveling eastbound on state Route 274, the sheriff’s office said.
